How to Register for Group Lessons
New students can register for a session of lessons by printing the Registration Form and Liability Release Form (pdf) . Print the form, fill it out, and mail it or drop it off at the ranch. Our address is on the form.
Before registering, please be sure you have reviewed the following:
Q. How do I know if a spot is available in the class I want and if I should register?
A. Usually spots open up at the start of each new session. But we don't always know ahead of time what spots will open up. To best ensure a spot in a particular class, register as soon as you can. We cannot assign or save you a spot unless we have your registration and payment. List all possible class times to increase your chances of getting into a session.
Q. How and when will I know if I got into a class?
A. We will email or call you a few days after the registration deadline. If you have not heard anything, please allow 5 days after the registration deadline before calling or emailing. Class spots are filled first by students continuing from the previous session. We won’t be able to tell you whether or not you have made it into a class until a few days past the registration deadline date after we have heard from current students and had time to fill in our roster.
Q. What if I don't get in to a class?
A. Your check will not be cashed until we have placed you in a class. If you don't get in we will ask you if you would like us to hold your check until the next session, or tear up your check.
Q. What are the risks of riding?
A. All riders must have medical insurance and must sign our Liability Release Waiver to ride at WRR. Please read the release carefully (last page of downloadable registration form). Horseback riding is potentially injurious -- you accept that risk when you ride and work with horses.
Q. How and where do I pay?
A. We do not take credit cards or PayPal. You can mail a check, or bring a check or cash with your registration to the ranch. We have a payment box in the barn office (brass mailbox on the wall under the calendar).
Q. What else should I know?
A. Read our Letter to New Students and Lesson Policies for more answers to commonly asked questions.
